Where the story starts

Sipson Quarry began operations in 1979 with the extraction of sand and gravel.

AABC Steps foot in Sipson

After the acquisition of Anglian Aggregate Bagging Co. Ltd and its sister company Clanborn Ltd, AABC Group goes through a rebrand to become what it is now - AABC.

Operational Milestones

The company achieved FORS Bronze accreditation for its fleet, which services the quarries. During this period, AABC diversified significantly into "muck away" (landfill) services, using sites like Hengrove and Homers to receive inert waste for progressive restoration.

Site Developments & Local Planning

Hengrove Farm: This site continued its cycle of sand/gravel extraction and refilling with inert waste. It has been a long-running project involving "progressive restoration," where portions of the quarry are returned to agricultural or recreational use while others are still being worked.

Homers Farm: Located near Staines, this site became a primary focus for extraction. Planning permissions for these sites are often updated to extend the lifespan of the processing plants and access roads.

Current Operations

As of early 2026, AABC operates these sites as part of a network that handles over 500,000 tonnes of material annually. The focus at Hengrove and Homers remains the supply of high-quality aggregates to the London and Home Counties markets while managing the environmental restoration of the land.
